Breathtaking views of the coast and mountains await our guests after a busy day on the road or enjoying yourself at one of Kaikōura’s many award winning activities & attractions. Uniquely situated, nestled in a quiet bay overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the Seaward Kaikōura Mountain Range.
Kaikōura is spoilt for choice with many cafés and restaurants to choose from in the town centre or try one of Kaikōura’s top restaurant’s just around the corner... The Pier Hotel, just a short walk away (15-20 minutes).
The Point farm originally covered 600 acres of the Kaikōura Peninsula and ran 2000 sheep. Today we have 90 acres and run 300 Drysdale sheep on the farm which still forms part of the Kaikōura Peninsula. While staying at The Point come and see the sheep shearing show and catch up with the famous “Ram Man“...he eats out of the palm of your hand.
Ask about our inhouse special rate to see the show.
Enjoy the beauty of the natural landscape of Kaikōura with a short walk to the Seal Colony and or around the Peninsula Walkway which is a 3 1/2 hour loop.
If there is anything that we can do to make your stay more enjoyable then let us know. We believe The Point is the perfect place to relax and unwind right on nature’s doorstep.
